The Kaimkillenbun Hotel, or 'the Bun' to the locals, has welcomed generations of families and travellers through its doors over the past century and provides the perfect place for a stopover or a catch up.

Kaimkillenbun is a friendly rural township between Dalby and the Bunya Mountains,  1 hour from Toowoomba and under 2.5 hours drive west of Brisbane. We serve a range of craft beers, excellent coffee and high quality pub meals, seven days a week.

Bookings are recommended on weekends. Can't wait to see you!

Visit Kaimkillenbun

Kaimkillenbun has the longest name of any town in Queensland, so a selfie with our

town sign is the first reason to stop.

Once you've updated Instagram, have a wander around town, it's only 7 streets long and 7 streets wide so it won't take you long.  At the last census we had a population of 293 so there's plenty of parking too.

In the early 1980's, Australian television turned the spotlight on Kaimkillenbun.

The town was the setting of a five part mini series called 'Chase Through The Night' starring none other than Nicole Kidman.

Locals were cast in small roles while farmers provided their cattle and golden grass fields for scenes, turning the Bun in the Hollywood of the Western Downs.

(We're looking forward to seeing Nic next time she and Keith are in the area.)

Kaimkillenbun is a great place to stop when you're on your way to or from The Bunyas. There's a great little playground right next to the Hotel to let the kids out for a while and the surrounding area is fantastic for photographers.
